A friend of mine had read through my posts at Peptides and given some valuable feedback (I am happy at least a few friends read it seriously). She said my writing is very "Indian". Though she added that these kinds of writings give a sense of connection with the writer as the readers (Indian) have the same sensibilities and a sense of familiarity, I am convinced it's very Indian, what ever it means.
For instance, she mentioned about my usage of the word dress for clothing which normally not used for Men’s clothing by non-Indians and purse for wallet. I didn’t want to change them in my blog as may be that’s natural to me and comes out when I write or probably it brings out the girl in me!!!
This conversation incited my yearning and decided to start a separate page on Linguistics, called Budlingage (Portmanteaus - Buddha’s Linguistic Page)
I want Budlingage to be a page where we share our thoughts, knowledge and creativity and discuss various interesting topics on Language, words and their usages. Hope you would help making it an interesting page for the benefit of all of us and thank you all in advance.
